Built for the extreme offshore fisherman who demands no limits, the Northbank 650 Hardtop is one of the few Aussie-built trailer boats capable of going anywhere—anytime. Designed to tackle serious bluewater conditions, it delivers class-leading performance without compromising on comfort or style.
With a maximum 300hp on the transom, the 650HT is made for open water. Its sharp 21-degree deadrise and CAD/CAM-designed hull provide the soft ride, sure-footed handling, and stability that Northbank is known for. Add in the solid fibreglass hardtop, toughened glass windscreen, and sliding side windows, and you’ve got a serious offshore setup that still turns heads at the ramp.
All of this capability comes in under 3000kg (fully loaded), meaning the 650HT can be towed by most modern four-wheel drives—offering true go-anywhere versatility, on and off the water.
Inside, the cabin is carpeted and cushion-lined, giving it a warm, inviting feel—perfect for overnight missions or midday breaks with the family. Premium upholstery and polished finishes complete the look, offering a level of refinement that needs to be seen to be appreciated.

Having owned a Northbank 650 HT since 2020 I can’t fault them. I have had many people in the boat over the years and all of them comment on how well it is made and the comfort of the ride. I looked around at a lot of boats before deciding on the Northbank, which I am glad I did. Having the boat built not far from where I live made it easy to sort out the little things as the process went along.
I feel like I’ve won the lottery every time I’m in my Northbank. It’s the perfect boat for what we do, the layout is ideal, there’s no wasted space anywhere, it’s solid AF, and it rides so smooth. This boat doesn’t bang, it whooshes. I’m so happy to be a Northbank Owner.
I bought a new Northbank 650 HT from Rob Cuming at Christie’s Beach Marine in 2018. I’ve loved owning it since day 1. Fishing mainly in Wallaroo with the occasional ferry and road trip to the West Coast. The boat is safe, dry and handles great with a Mercury 225HP. I’ve fitted it out with a few extras like additional Garmin, underwater lights, a SIONYX night vision camera, pie warmer etc just for the enjoyment factor. Can’t fault the boat at all.
I upgraded from a 6m Northbank Cuddy (which i absolutely loved) to a 650ht and couldn’t be happier. It’s a well built, well rounded, offshore fishing machine and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I would encourage anyone to take any boat in the range for a test run on water, as well as tour the Northbank factory in Lonsdale, SA to appreciate the quality of this business.
